About the bar
Ruthy’s Art Bar is located on the historic square in downtown Gilmer, Texas. Formerly Paint the Square, we opened in 2020 with the goal to grow into something bigger. We rebranded in 2024 to Ruthy’s Art Bar and we now offer a full bar and small food menu. We are always striving to create the best experience possible for all. Our family friendly atmosphere includes a kid’s room with entertainment, art for all ages, comfortable ares to hang out and a variety of drinks and mocktails.
In addition to our regular hours, Thursday through Saturday, we offer other events including private painting parties and venue rental.

Creating Art and hosting a fun party is my JAM! I strive to give everyone a great experience, whatever the occasion may be. I've had a passion for art from a young age and having fun while I make it just makes perfect sense! As a mother of three beautiful children, a wife, and a business owner, I love the creative outlet painting gives me and I can bring that to you! I hope you join me in the FUN!
